Q: Where do the photography workshops take place?
I love shooting out in nature! I frequently hold workshops at beautiful local spots like Towneley Park, but I am also happy to travel to a park or outdoor space that is local and convenient for you.
Q: When are you available?
I offer flexible sessions during evenings and weekends to make the most of different lighting conditions, including that gorgeous golden hour light. Please contact me to check my current availability.
Pricing & Bookings.
Q: Can I book as a group?
Absolutely! Photography is great to learn with friends, family, or colleagues. I offer a discounted group rate of just £20 per person. Get in touch via my contact page, and we can coordinate a date and location for your group.
Gear & Experience
Q: Do I need to bring my own camera?
Yes, if you have one you will need to bring your own dedicated camera to the session. Whether you shoot on a DSLR, a mirrorless system, or a compact camera, the workshop will be tailored entirely to the specific gear you bring along. (Please note: these sessions are designed for traditional cameras rather than mobile phones).
A modern mirrorless camera (Nikon Z5) is available to hire for sessions if you do not have your own camera
Q: Do I need any prior photography experience?
No prior experience is needed. Whether you are an absolute beginner trying to figure out your camera's manual settings, or an intermediate photographer looking to improve your composition and creative eye, I tailor the session to your current skill level.
Weather & Logistics
Q: What happens if it rains?
A bit of light drizzle won't stop us—in fact, wet surfaces can make for some incredible reflections! However, if the weather looks genuinely terrible, I will get in touch with you ahead of time to reschedule your session at no extra cost.
Q: What should I wear or bring?
Because we will be moving around to find the best angles, I highly recommend:
-
Your own camera (with a fully charged battery and an empty memory card!).
-
Any extra lenses, filters, or accessories you want to practice with (optional).
-
Sturdy, comfortable walking shoes or trainers.
-
Layers and a waterproof jacket to keep you comfortable while we shoot.
